Will KCR Scrap Intermediate Board?

Update: 2019-04-26 09:48 GMT
Sometime ago, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao created a sensation by questioning 'Do We Need Inter Board?'. He brought the proposal of bringing education until Intermediate under one roof with removal of the Inter Board. That decision wasn't implemented because College Managements, Teachers and Students Unions raised objection.

Post the declaration of Intermediate Results, There was high-tension all over the state due to the suicides of close to 20 students. Parents, Parties and Intellectuals have been protesting against the injustice happened to the Students.

If the media reports are to be believed, KCR is now seriously considering the proposal of cancellation of separate Inter Board. The plan is to have a common board for Class 1 to 12th Standard. By doing so, More central funds can be received and stay focussed on improvement of infrastructure in the government institutions. Will Inter Board be merged with the existing School System? or A new board would be established for Class 1 to 12? Officials were instructed to conduct an exercise for attaining the best results.

Scrapping Inter Board could be huge blow to the Private Junior Colleges in Telangana. What could they do then?
