Will This Lady IAS Officer Be BJP Candidate From Tirupati?

If all goes well, the BJP and the Jana Sena are likely to field a former IAS officer as their candidate for the Tirupati Lok Sabha byelections. Sources say that the party has decided on the candidature of retired IAS officer Ratnaprabha.

Ratnaprabha, who held key posts in both Karnataka as well as Andhra Pradesh, worked as the chief of the Kakinada porst. She comes from a family of IAS officer. Her father and brother were IAS officer. Her husband Angalakurthi Vidyasagar too was an IAS officer. An author, he was known for his left-leaning thinking. Ratnaprabha, a Dalit officer hails from Prakasam district and is known to be a no-nonsence officer.

Ratnaprabha is a 1981 batch IAS officer and has primarily served in Karnataka. She had joined the BJP in 2019. She claimed that she was impressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's work. Being a Dalit officer,she would be the perfect candidate for the Tirupati bypoll, feels the AP BJP. Will she be able to make a cut? Let's wait and see.
