YSRCP chief and AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a serious view of the henchmen and backers of some of his party leader getting involved in financial irregularities. He has issued a stern warning to the MLAs and Ministers to ensure that their followers stay sane and do not resort to any irregularity.
Jagan's latest fiat comes after several incidents where those claiming to be MLAs' followers resorted to wrongdoings. For instance, some followers of Undavalli MLA Sridevi were arrested on charges of gambling. Similarly, Chilakaluripeta MLA Vidudala Rajani's followers were involved in threatening innocent people. Some leaders in North Andhra and Tirupati were found to be involved in land-grabbing. Vijaysai Reddy in Vizag and Karunakar Reddy in Tirupati have also warned their partymen not to indulge in corrupt practices and irregularities.
Similar complaints came up in connection with Home Minister Sucharita, whose followers were accused by a person, who committed suicide. Taking a serious view of all these, YS Jagan has warned the ministers and MLAs to ensure that their followers do not cross the rubicon. He warned that serious consequences would follow if the leaders are found erring. One hopes Jagan's warnings will have a salutary effect.
