With A Spike Of 47,905 Fresh Cases, India's Caseload Went Past 86-Lakh Mark

The total toll of Covid-19 cases in India pass surged 86-lakh mark after India reported more than 47,000 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, Union Health Ministry data said.

In the last 24 hours, India, the second worst-affected nation with Covid-19 pandemic reported as many as 47,905 fresh infections, which takes the total toll of infections to 86,83,917.

With 550 patients breathing their last battling the ongoing pandemic in the past 24 hours, the total casualties in connection with Covid-19 mounted to 1,28,121. India's mortality rate stood at 1.5 percent.

In a span of 24 hours, 52,718 patients have been recovered and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly. The total recoveries zoomed to 80,66,502 with a recovery rate of 92.79 percent. The active cases stood at 4,89,294.

Talking about the tests to detect Covid-19, as of the 11th of November, a total of 12,19,62,509 samples have been tested, while as many as 11,93,358 samples were tested on Wednesday alone.

Telangana's caseload zoomed to 2,54,666, including 1015 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours. With three fresh casualties, the total fatalities mounted to 1393.

On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh witnessed 1,732 fresh cases taking the total cases to 8,47,977. While 8,20,234 patients have been recovered so far, the active Covid-19 cases stood at 20,915.

The data collected by the Johns Hopkins University stated that the global Covid-19 cases topped mammoth 52 million. The global Covid-19 casualties mounted to 1,282,790.
