With Covid-19 fear, Maharashtra imposed 15-days Janata Curfew till May 1!

In the wake of Maharashtra reporting record cases, the state government has imposed a 15-days Janata curfew in the state that will come into effect from April 14 and will last till the 1st of May.

The Maharashtra government took a call on the Janata curfew to tackle the rapid spread of the ongoing pandemic. This will be an extra measure as the weekend curfew and night curfew is already active in the state.

Calling this a war against the novel Coronavirus, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government announced the new curfew, which will result in everything around us coming to a standstill.

Talking about the new restrictions, the Chief Minister said, no lockdown will be imposed in the state, but the Janata curfew will be imposed. The curfew comes with stricter restrictions.

As part of the Janata Curfew, no movement will be allowed during the period barring the essential services. With Section 144 in ply, five or more people cannot gather at a time.

Barring the Hospitals, Pharma companies and other services related to the diagnosis and others will be barred from the Janata Curfew. Except for the essential services, all other services will be shut.

Veterinary services/animal care shelters, pet food shops. Groceries, vegetable shops, fruit vendors, dairies, bakeries, confectioneries, and food shops will be permitted to operate.
