Woman caught with 1.99 kg Cocaine at RGIA

A Woman Passenger has been taken into custody at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and 1.99 kg of Cocaine has been seized from her.

Acting on the tip off, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Officers asked a Woman Passenger arriving from Dubai by Emirates Flight to step out of the queue. Cocaine was found in the covers of 5 books in her hand baggage and all of them were lined with aluminum foils.

Officials say the quantity of Cocaine caught is worth as much as Rs 10 crore. The Woman Passenger was arrested under NDPS Act 1985 and her statement has been recorded.

Investigation is underway to find out the source of the Cocaine and for whom it has been brought to Hyderabad.
