Opinion: YCP Leaders Fearing Tough Time in Next Polls?

Update: 2022-06-30 06:04 GMT
The political landscape in divided Andhra Pradesh changed after the 2019 general elections. The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP recorded a landslide victory and pushed the grand old Telugu Desam Party to a big crisis. TDP is in a situation where it has to win the upcoming polls in order to survive in the future.

YCP is getting stronger and stronger with the passing of every election and this made many feel that YCP has nothing to worry about the elections given its strength. On the other hand, the ruling outfit is flaunting the welfare schemes openly. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not leaving any stone unturned to highlight how the government is continuing the schemes despite the financial burden.

Proving the version wrong, the ruling party leaders who are meeting the public in their constituencies in the 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabuthavam' program is facing the heat as the public is listing out all the issues they are facing.

This added fuel to the opinion that the YCP is likely to face tough elections as the party's mileage is coming down. Forget about others, even the party leaders are saying the same to everyone's surprise.

MLC C Ramachandraiah, who took part in the party plenary meeting held in the Nellore district said that the next elections will see a big war at the ballot box in the state as the party cannot register an easy win. Rising the same doubt, the MLC also urged the leaders at the ground level to be cautious and work hard.

Ruling party MLA Maddisetty Venugopal who was also present at the Plenary meeting dropped a big bomb by saying that the MLA's graph is dropping rapidly, while the Chief Minister's graph is increasing exponentially.

Shedding light on how the leaders are facing the wrath of the people in the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam, the MLA, who is also the party in charge of the Nellore district told the leaders that the delay in the clearance of bills is making the leaders' graph coming down as the contractors who worked for the projects are demanding the bills clearance. MLA and MLC saying the same in the same meeting is ringing dangerous bells for the party.
