Year 2021: British Strain Of Covid-19 Spreads To Nearly 30 Nations!

People across the globe who faced a lot of problems in 2020 due to the deadly outbreak of the novel Coronavirus welcomed 2021 with the hope of beating the pandemic.

The year 2021 gave a brutal shock to mankind, as the new strain of Coronavirus detected in the United States has spread to not less than 30 countries across the globe as of now.

Scientists have named the new virus strain  B.1.1.7, which is highly transmittable compared to the previous virus strain. Experts are raising their concerns over the new strain as it is spreading rapidly.

Reports claimed that the 30 nations which reported the transmission of the new strain include the United States and Vietnam. Vietnam reported the new strain on the 2nd of January.

On the other hand, the United Kingdom from where the new strain was reported called for stricter lockdown restrictions. The nation has suspended international flight services with many countries.

It is also said that the mutation of the virus detected in Britain has spread to the Atlantic. Canada, Franc, Italy, Australia, and China

Coming to India, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) claimed that the British strain of the virus was isolated in India as the passengers who arrived from the United Kingdom were isolated.

After tracing the UK returnees, they have been sent to isolation. The primary and secondary contacts of the virus were also traced and they have been tested. The ICMR scientists have used the Vero cell lines to culture the new strain, the ICMR claimed.
