YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy planned to visit Prakasam district on September 30th to console the kin of Tobacco farmers who committed suicide.
YCP MLA Ashok Reddy shared with media that Jagan will be meeting the deceased farmers families and will fight for them. He informs a dharna will be held at Tanguturu very soon by YSRC to highlight the plight of Tobacco farmers in the state. "The situation of tobacco farmers in the state is pathetic. They weren't even able to recover the investment because of the bad pricing in the market. We have already brought the issue to the notice of Union Minister Nirmala Sitaraman," he told.
Jagan will be sitting on indefinite fast on October 7th for the sake of Special Category Status. Even though State Government denied permission to hold a fast in Guntur, YCP Chief is determined to go ahead with his plans to mount pressure on TDP and BJP.
