YS Jagan Skips DA Case Court Hearing

Update: 2020-01-31 09:31 GMT
The CBI Court ordered YS Jaganmohan Reddy to appear for the hearing of Disproportionate Assets Case on January 31st, 2020 without fail. However, AP Chief Minister has given a miss to the court hearing Today.

Already, Jagan's Counsel moved the High Court seeking exemption from appearing in the court. Upon accepting the plea, High Court directed the CBI Court to file a counter. CM Jaganmohan Reddy might have skipped the hearing as the decision on exemption is still pending in the High Court.

YS Jagan sought exemption citing the responsibilities he has to fulfill as the CM of Andhra Pradesh. His Counsel reported to the High Court that CBI Court hadn't taken the views of petitioner into confidence before dismissing the plea.

High Court hearing on Jagan's petition will be happening on February 6th (Thursday). Depending on the judgement of High Court, AP CM will decide whether he has to appear for the next hearing or not. If High Court agrees with the stand taken by CBI Court, Jagan might attend the DA Case hearing on February 7th itself due to lack of sufficient time to challenge it in the Supreme Court.
