YS Jagan worried about three troublesome districts

Update: 2022-08-28 03:58 GMT
Three districts – Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Prakasam – are said to be giving sleepless nights to the YSRCP top boss. These three districts could upset YS Jagan's dream of repeating the 2019 election result in 2024, according to insiders. In all the three districts, the ruling YSRCP is facing severe problems and Guntur and Prakasam may not throw up the same results as that of 2019 elections.

Internal surveys and even the survey by Prashant Kishore have given very disconcerting reports about these three districts. The surveys say that the constituency incharges of Chilakaluripet,Vemuru, Tadikonda, Ponnuru, Tenali and Sattenapalli in Guntur district, Kondepi, Markapuram and Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district should be changed. Already there are plans to shift Ambati Rambabu from Sattenapalli to some other constituency. Similarly, the survey says that RK should be shifted from Mangalagiri to Sattenapalli.

Interestingly, three ministers Vidadala Rajini of Chilakaluripet, Merugu Nagarjuna of Vemuru and Ambati Rambabu of Sattenapalli are also said to be in danger zone.  The story in Vizag is slightly different. Even in the 2019 elections, Vizag city and all its four assembly seats went to the TDP. Though one of these four MLAs – Vasupalli Ganesh – has since joined the YSRCP, he is said to be unhappy and is planning to go back to the YSRCP.

Reports say that team PK has warned YS Jagan that these three districts could upset the applecart. Sources also reveal that Jagan has already spoken to these MLAs and incharges and has warned them to improve their position within six months else they may have to make way for others. As of now, the party top leadership is worried about these three districts. It feels that the situation in other districts is better off.
