Update: 2013-08-05 15:19 GMT
YSR Congress MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy has resigned on Monday protesting the decision of centre to carve out a Telangana state. He resigned to Congress after Jagan floated new party and contested the By-polls on YSRC ticket. He is representing Nellore constituency.

Mekapati said Congress is playing with the lives of people by dividing the Telugus. He opined there is political conspiracy behind announcing the division of Andhra Pradesh and felt its only a ploy to distance millions of YSR Family supporters from YS Jagan.

About 16 MLAs of YSR Congress have already resigned supporting the United AP movement. Over all, YSRC stood much ahead of other parties when it comes to resignations. People of Seemandhra will welcome the commitment of Jagan party leaders.
