YSRCP boss looks the other way as leaders clash in Gurazala

Update: 2022-01-03 13:28 GMT
All is not well in the Gurajala YSRCP. Two strong leaders from the same constituency are fighting a turf battle for supremacy. The sitting MLA and the past MLA are engaged in a war of words. Sitting MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy is trying to firm up his position in the constituency, while former MLA and current MLC Janga Krishnamurthy is trying everything he can to retain his hold in Gurazala, which falls in the Palnadu region of Guntur district.

Initially, everything was hunky dory between the two leaders. But, soon differences cropped up. Janga, who has been MLA twice from Gurajala is finding that Kasu Mahesh is trying to edge him out. He feels that Kasu Mahesh is not giving any positions of importance to his followers. For a long time, both the leaders have not been on any programme together.

The situation has come to such a pass that the MPTCs  Dachepalli mandal of the constituency had to be sworn in twice – once in the presence of Janga Krishnamurthy and then for Kasu Mahesh. When Janga was present, Kasu was absent. Later when Kasu was present, Janga left the place.  A miffed Janga has already lodged a complaint against the MLA.

Not to be undone, Kasu Mahesh has complained that he was not kept in the loop when the victorious YSRCP councilors of the party from Piduguralla municipal council were felicitated in Guntur. Mahesh has alleged that Janga has hijacked the programme. As of now, the party leadership has done nothing to set things right in Gurazala.
