Former minister and senior politician Gade Venkat Reddy is all set to join the YSRCP on Monday . He is likely to don the YSRCP stole at 3 PM on Monday. TDP strongman and minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy played a key role in getting Gade Venkat Reddy on board. His son Madhusudan Reddy, who is now a youth leader in the TDP, will also join the YSRCP along with his father.
Gade is a three time MLA and a former minister. He had won from Parchur in 1991 and from Bapatla in 2004 and 2009. Known to be a close associate of YSRCP, he had served as a minister in his government. In 2014, he tried for YSRCP ticket from Bapatla. He has considerable hold on both Parchur and Bapatla. The YSRCP wants to use him for Parchur assembly constituency, which has a TDP MLA. A member of the Gade family could fight the elections from Parchur in 2023, if sources are to be believed. His son Madhusudan Reddy is being seen as a prospective candidate in Parchur.
Parchur was till recently represented by NTR's son-in-law Daggubati Venkateswar Rao, whose wife is a prominent leader of the BJP. He has recently resigned from the YSRCP to ensure the growth of his wife as a BJP politician.
