YSRCP MLA resigns for United AP

Before the announcement of Congress High Command's decision on Telangana issue, Seemandhra MLA has resigned for the post. YSR Congress Party MLA Gurunath Reddy from
Anantapur has tendered his resignation in favor of United Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, Samaikhyandhra JAC leaders had raided Gurunatha Reddy house in Anantapur and demanded him to quit the MLA post for the sake of United Andhra Pradesh. Without delay in decision, he resigned to his position and handed it over to JAC leaders.

Talking to media, Mr.Gurunatha Reddy said that he was integrationist and ready to sacrifice anything to keep the state united and I am not bothered about the positions in case of United Andhra Pradesh movement.

The Samaikhyandhra JAC leaders also raided Payyavula Keshav TDP MLA from Uravakonda and Paritala Sunitha TDP MLA from Rapthadu houses and demanded them to quit the posts in support of United Andhra Pradesh. The SA JAC has intensified the United Andhra Pradesh movement in the wake of center's steps towards Telangana state.
