As part of the relaxations given by the Centre, some states have decided to reopen the liquor shops so that the economy can be boosted. As a result, people rushed to the outlets violating the social distancing norms.

This has led to a widespread debate that reopening might increase the spread of the fatal coronavirus as people are standing very close in the queue lines. To counter this, some states have increased the liquor prices but that did not make much change.

In the wake of this, some media reports emerged that, the states are looking at the option of Home Delivering liquor to the customers so that the chances of spreading the virus can be decreased.

Now it is believed that Zomato, leading Food Delivery App wants to try its hand in the home delivery of liquor so that the app can encash the undying love for liquor. As of now, the app is mainly into grocery deliveries.

Due to the lockdown affect the food business faced a huge loss of around 70% as many states have banned food delivery services in the states. We might get more information if there is any official information.
