ZP chairpersons of AP & TG

The indirect elections for Zilla Parishad Chairman Posts were concluded in both the telugu states and the ruling parties domination observed in the polls.In Andhra Pradesh, Ruling Telugu Desam Party has won 10 Zilla Parishad Chairmans. The party has clear majority in 9 Zilla Parishads and one ZP (Kurnool) went TDP’s way despite YSR Congress having majority. YSRCP managed to won Kadapa ZP chairman post.Nellore Zilla Parishad elections were postponed due to intense fights between TDP and YSR Congress.

Coming to Telangana the Telangana Rashtra Samiti has won 6 Zilla Parishad Chairmans. Ranga Reddy ZP Chairman election was postponed due to the lack of members required for election.

TRS bagged the ZPs of Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Mahabubnagar where as Congress managed to win Nalgonda ZP. Khammam ZP Chairman election postponed due to a stay by High Court.
