Bad Time For Indian Sailors: Which Country This Time?
M.V. AMIR1, currently at Ukrainian port Chornomorsk with 15 crew on board, including 13 Indian seafarers, is trapped in a terrible and life-threatening situation.
It is already known that the Indian sellers had been facing a very tough time for the last few months. Earlier it was the attack from the United States military at the Iran Strait, which ended up killing three Indian sailor who were on job.
This incident involving the United States military operations created a lot of public backlash back then and the Indian authorities also hit by very hard against the US.
Now something shocking is unfolding in another different country and this time it happens to be Ukraine where multiple Indian sailors are allegedly stuck on the ship in the sea.

Reportedly multiple drone and missile attacks are being attempted in the immediate vicinity of the vessel and the crew is living under constant fear of a direct hit at any moment.
This had immediately warranted reaction from the Indian embassy in Ukraine and they issued a public statement saying that the safety of these sailor is of top priority and confirm that the Indian authorities would make sure of the same.
The statement from the Indian embassy in Ukraine communicated that "A situation regarding MV AMIR1 with Indian seafarers onboard has been brought to our attention. We attach the highest priority to this and are in constant touch with all concerned to ensure safety and security of all Indians onboard".
It is sad to see Indian sailor across the globe, facing such problematic situations. First, it happened with the United States military and now it has extended to Ukraine, so we have to see what would be the future course of action.
