This is leading to an interesting discussion on social media as the latest global media reports are suggesting that Donald Trump administration has changed the green card procedure completely.

It is being reported that more than 10 lakh Indians are currently stuck in the United States without a green card. They are all patiently waiting for Green card procedure to be completed, which is going to take significantly longer than expected.

According to the latest developments, nearly 1 million Indians account for around 79% of the 1.26 million employment-based green card backlog.

A new survey report analysis estimates potential waits of up to 179 years for Indians in the EB-2 category. This is well beyond the lifetime of human beings, and this indicates that the green card allocation for the larger section of the Indian community is a dream at this point.

The fact that more than 10 lakh Indians are waiting for the card which is going to take roughly 179 years to be completed as a joke in itself. It has to be seen what would be the reaction for the same now.
