Over the years internet consumption has picked up massively in India. Compared to a few years back the consumer count increased rapidly. The emergence of Jio can be cited as one of the major reasons behind this. Jio offers Internet For a lower price which made the customers opt for it.

With this other companies were also forced to offer the Internet for a relatively lower price. All these factors led to the rise of internet consumption. Many experts say that India has the cheapest tariffs in the world for the internet which is also playing a key role in the surge of users.

Now sensational data has come out which talks about the difference in prices for internet in India and other countries. On average 1 GB of internet costs Rs 10 in India. This can be seen as the lowest in the world. The data says that 1 GB of internet cost in India is less than a cup of tea.

If we draw a comparison between India and other countries there is a big difference. It costs around Rs 6.5 per one GB in India while the same is Rs 8 in Israel followed by Kyrgyzstan(Rs 15.3), and Italy(Rs 31.38).

This tells us how cheap the internet is in India. In East Africa’s Malawi one GB internet costs around Rs 2000 which is the highest in the world. Internet costs are also high in the US with one GB costing Rs 500 in Indian currency.
