2024 Olympics: How Many Athletes Did India Pick?

The stage is all set for the global sports event Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The much-awaited tournament would begin in a few weeks. All the arrangements have been made to welcome the athletes from various parts of the world who would represent their respective countries.

Indians have been waiting for the tournament to see the athletes making them proud. For the Paris Olympics 2024 as many as 117 athletes would be sent and the Sports Ministry had finalised the names across the sports.

In Athletics, 18 men and 11 women athletes were selected. There are 21 athletes in Shooting followed by Hockey(19), Table Tennis(8), Badminton (7), Wrestling (6), Archery (6), Boxing(6), Golf(4), Tennis(3), Swimming(2), Sailing(2) and Jude (1), Rowing (1), Equestrian (1).

A few athletes are carrying a lot of expectations. He won the Gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Indian fans are expecting him to bag another Gold at the Paris Olympics. Our boxers have been consistent at the events and if they can pack a punch then we would win the prestigious medals.

We can bet on our athletes in the Badminton event in the big tournament with the likes of PV Sindhu, Ashwini Ponnappa, and HS Prannoy. If they can shine then our medals count would go up.

We have been playing good games as far as hockey is concerned and we can expect them to put on a medal-winning performance on the big stage.

Athletes who can shine big on their given day were picked for the tournament. So we can bet on them to have a good tally of medals. Let us wait for the D-day to come.
