Today is Valentine's Day which is celebrated as a symbol of love. Not just in one country, but people across the globe celebrate February 14th as Valentine's Day. Lovers wait for the big occasion throughout the year to celebrate the day on a big note with their partners.

While this is the scene in other nations, India faced a big terror attack on the date. Exactly on this date five years back a terror attack was launched at India. What happened that way is dubbed as one of the most brutal incidents in recent times.

On February 14, 2019, the CRPF convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber. 78 vehicles with more than 2,500 soldiers were traveling on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. During the early hours, the attack happened. The impact of the attack was such that the sound was heard for a few kilometers.

The terror attack claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. 35 others sustained injuries in the attack. The suicide bomber used a vehicle with explosives and attacked the convoy.

Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) came forward and took responsibility for the attack. It said that it was behind the attack that created a big bloodshed in the country. This is the reason why many observe February 14th as the Black Day in the country. It's been five years since the deadly attack happened in the country.

India did not remain silent to this attack. A few days later India launched a deadly attack on Pakistan. The Indian Air Force swung into action and bombed the terror bases in Balakot. After a long time, Indian troops entered the Pakistan space.
