From Virat Kohli to Ranbir Kapoor and MS Dhoni, the biggest names trust him with their image, and he charges accordingly. "They earn from their fame, I charge for my craft," says Alim.

When a film demands multiple haircut sessions, the meter doesn’t just run, it races. Alim Hakim revealed that 10 to 15 sittings could rack up a bill of Rs. 15 lakh. “It’s like a taxi,” he says, “every stop adds up.” The price might raise eyebrows, but for stars whose looks are under a magnifying glass, he believes the screen-ready result more than justifies the spend. In an industry where every frame counts, the right haircut becomes part of the performance.

But it’s not all star prices. Alim reassures that his salons offer affordable services for the public, starting at Rs. 2,500. "I can’t cut everyone’s hair personally, just like Manish Malhotra doesn’t design for everyone," he joked. The salons are meant to be accessible, even if the main man behind the scissors comes at a premium.
