AB Venkateswara Rao’s Big Win: Gets Posting?

Those who follow Andhra Pradesh politics closely are familiar with senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao who has been fighting hard to get the appointment. His fight has been going on for five long years. His long fight did not go in vain as he faced success at last.

In what could be a big win for AB Venkateswara Rao, he was taken into the service by the government. It is said that the Chief Secretary gave orders reinstating the senior IPS officer taking into the service.

As per the media reports AB Venkateswara Rao was appointed as AP Printing and Stationary Deputy General. While the fight he waged to get the appointment gave him positive outcomes and got the appointment he cannot stay longer in the post due to retirement.

It is said that AB Venkateswara Rao will retire today and this will be his last day in the office. So this makes today as his appointment and retirement day of the senior IPS officer.

AB Venkateswara Rao has been facing a lot of issues for the past few years. The former additional director general of police (ADGP)of the intelligence wing was sacked from his position citing a few allegations.

He is accused of his role in irregularities in surveillance equipment procurement in the last term. On the same ground, he was removed from his position and he has been knocking on the doors of the Courts to get the relief.

In what could be a big development CAT gave orders in his favour and said he should be taken into service. With this, the government moved the High Court to challenge this. However, the High Court upheld the decision. Following this, the orders were given for his appointment.
