Major Issue In Airbus Flights? What’s Up?

It is already known that the Airbus is one of the most used models of international aeroplanes and they carry thousands of lakhs of passengers every single day. It is now being established that the Airbus aircraft have been identified to have one major functional.

A major software problem was recently found in Airbus A320 family aircraft. This issue appears when these planes fly at very high altitudes during periods of strong solar activity.

The intense solar radiation can disturb some important flight control data that is handled by a computer called ELAC. Because of this disturbance the aircraft may receive wrong signals for its control surfaces.

This problem can lead to sudden or unexpected movements of the plane’s elevators and ailerons. These parts help the aircraft maintain balance and direction. In one reported case a plane even dropped altitude for a short moment without any action from the pilot. Since this kind of issue can be risky Airbus decided to take immediate action across the world.

A large number of A320 aircraft were asked to remain on the ground until a safety update is installed. Aviation authorities also supported this decision as a preventive step. In India several aircraft from airlines such as IndiGo and Air India were affected. Many planes have already completed the update and the rest are being worked on quickly.

These checks may cause delays for some passengers but they are important to ensure complete safety for every flight.
