The stage is all set for the much-awaited general elections in Andhra Pradesh. The election episode is becoming interesting with each passing day. The political observers say that whoever gets the support of the Kapu community will get an advantage in the elections and they will emerge victorious.
As Janasena and TDP joined hands for an alliance many predicted that the votes of the community might be consolidated to the alliance. But a section of Kapu leaders and activists gave a big shock to Pawan Kalyan and Janasena by questioning why he said yes to the proposal of just 24 MLA seats.
Veteran Kapu leader Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah has been blasting the party and its chief. As if that is not enough his son joined the ruling YSRCP. Now another Kapu is said to be on the verge of joining the party.
As per the media reports, Mudragada Padmanabham might join the YSRCP soon as MP Mithun Reddy has been holding talks with the Kapu leader for some time. The talks might give a positive outcome and he might join the YCP on the 12th of this month in the presence of CM Jagan.
Mudragada has a good image in the community as he dedicated himself to the Kapu movement. Due to the protest that was held in the previous term he was arrested and faced a few cases. The cases were withdrawn by the YCP government.
For some time it has been reported that Mudragada might take the YCP route. Now it is said that the date is fixed for Mudragada’s joining. However, there is no clarity on whether Mudragada would get a ticket or his family members would be given a chance.
