Recent tensions within the Mega family have sparked significant public interest, primarily revolving around Allu Arjun’s relationship with Chiranjeevi’s family. The rift reportedly began when Allu Arjun campaigned for YCP candidate Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore during the AP elections. This decision drew criticism from Pawan Kalyan’s fans and Janasena supporters, resulting in considerable online backlash against Allu Arjun.

Pawan Kalyan’s recent remarks about the changing portrayal of heroes in films added more fuel to the fire. During a Bengaluru event, he criticized modern heroes for taking up roles that glorify negative traits, contrasting them with past heroes who protected nature. These comments were seen as an indirect criticism of Allu Arjun’s role as a red sanders smuggler in Pushpa.

Reacting to this, Allu Arjun’s father-in-law, Kancharla Chandrashekhar Reddy, urged Pawan Kalyan to clarify his statements. Reddy hinted that if Pawan’s remarks were aimed at Allu Arjun, he was also indirectly questioning the Indian government, which honored Allu Arjun with a National Award for his Pushpa performance.

Naga Babu’s comments during the elections, suggesting that supporters of rival parties cannot be considered allies, were also perceived as a dig at Allu Arjun. Reddy indicated that these remarks might stem from frustration.

On the professional front, Allu Arjun is preparing for Pushpa 2: The Rule, the sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna and is set for release on December 6 in multiple languages.
