As per the report of the Barclays Private Clients Hurun India, Mukesh Ambani is the richest family in the country in terms of valuation. The family has a valuation of ₹25.75 lakh crore which accounts for one-tenth of the country’s GDP.
The Bajaj and Birla families are in the next positions in the list. It is no wonder that the Ambani family is at the top given the wealth the family enjoys.
The Reliance empire is spread across sectors like retail, telecommunications and others. Bringing Jio was a game changer for the company which made it add massive profits.
Gautam Adani’s family is also on the list. The report said that the Adani Family is at the top position in the first-generation entrepreneur family category. The collective worth of the businesses owned by the family is valued at Rs 15.44 lakh crore. The Poonawalla family is in the second position on the list.
