India Is a Dream, but America Is Nightmare for IT Employees
Now, Indian IT employees are facing another important question: What will happen if their companies do not support their green card applications?
For many years we know that America has been a dream destination for Indian students and IT professionals. Thousands of Indians have worked hard to get jobs in the United States. Many students have spent lakhs of rupees on their education, hoping to build a better future in America. But now situation is raising serious questions. Is America still the dream it once was, or is it becoming a nightmare for Indian employees?
Recent concerns about H 1B visas and green card sponsorship have increased worries among Indian professionals working in America. Reports and discussions about possible restrictions on PERM applications at major technology companies have created uncertainty. But claims about restrictions on eight major companies and risks to 3.5 lakh H-1B employees have not been officially confirmed.
Many Indians move to America for higher salaries, better career opportunities and a comfortable lifestyle. But living there is not always easy. High living costs, expensive healthcare, job losses and visa restrictions can create serious problems.
Now, Indian IT employees are facing another important question: What will happen if their companies do not support their green card applications?
The H1B visa allows eligible foreign professionals to work in the United States temporarily. But it does not automatically provide permanent residency. Many Indian employees wait for years for their green cards because of long backlogs.
If an employee loses a job, finding another employer within the permitted period can become difficult. The pressure becomes even greater for employees whose H1B visa period is nearing its limit.
Is It Time to Choose India?
India is developing rapidly in technology, artificial intelligence, software and other industries. Many Indian companies are creating new opportunities for skilled professionals. If you have experience and the right skills then employees can build successful careers without moving abroad.
Working in India can also help people stay closer to their families and avoid some of the immigration uncertainties associated with living in another country.
Of course India also has challenges, including competition for jobs, salary differences and concerns about work-life balance. America continues to offer valuable opportunities for many professionals. Therefore every person must make a decision based on their career goals and family needs.
The biggest mistake is believing that success is possible only in America. A foreign job does not guarantee happiness, financial security or permanent residency.
Indian students and professionals should carefully compare job opportunities, living expenses, visa conditions and long term career prospects before making major decisions.
America may still be a dream for many but it should not be the only dream. India can also offer a strong future for talented people.
So thinking America is a better option than India is for sure a foolish option. Now India is becoming golden dream for many while America is surely a night mare.
