We have been seeing some tense situations in Andhra Pradesh with the intense protests by Anganwadi workers. They have been protesting for the demands for over one and a half months. Even the ESMA Act was imposed and the government ordered for sacking of workers who did not return to work.

The issue took a big turn with the protest calling off. The talks between the government and the workers gave a fruitful outcome. A few demands were accepted by the government and the workers said they would attend to the duties from today.

The crucial meeting was held the other day with Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana and Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy attending the meeting from the government end. The efforts they made played a key role in sorting out the issue.

The Minister assured the Anganwadi workers that their demands would looked into and that a positive response would come from the government. After the meeting, he and the Anganwadi representatives spoke to the media about calling off the protests and returning to work.

The government was successful in sorting out the issue before it got too complicated. Earlier the government employees fought for their demands and called a protest. A massive meet was held in Vijayawada. Though the employees were back at work, the protest grabbed everyone’s attention.

The elections are just a few months away from now and the ruling party cannot take any risk. The efforts in this regard gave e fruitful outcome and the protest was called off. Few of their demands were accepted already and a call would be taken on the remaining demands soon.

The calling off came a day after the government ordered the removal of the Anganwadi workers who were not willing to return to work. It was also reported that new workers would be appointed soon. But the tale saw a big twist with th workers calling off the intense protests.
