The BJP is getting stronger and stronger. Its growth can be seen as before and after the 2014 elections. Having hit the ball out of the park in the 2014 elections, the BJP started growing bigger and bigger. The party even blossomed in the North Eastern region.

Despite doing so much the party could not spread its wings in the Southern states. In particular, the BJP could not blossom in Tamil Nadu due to the strong Dravidian ideology. As a big move to spread wings there, former IPS officer Annamalai was made the state chief. The move appears to be working.

After Annamalai was made the Tamil Nadu chief of the BJP, the party started getting some positive energy. Now the party faced a big support as 16 former legislators joined the party. The leaders wore the BJP shawl in the national capital Delhi.

The leaders who joined the BJP included opposition AIADMK leaders as well. They reached the national capital and joined the party in the presence of Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai. They were welcomed into the party with the party shawls.

The BJP has a brief representation in the state in the Assembly as the saffron party won four seats. With the senior leaders including the former MP joining the BJP, the observers say that this might strengthen the party as the Lok Sabha elections are around the corner.

On top of this, Tamil Nadu will go for the general elections in 2026. Considering this, the development can be seen as a big thing as far as the party and its growth is concerned.
