Everyone saw how the election episode went in Andhra Pradesh. The parties aggressively campaigned for the elections. Till the last date, the parties gave the best. The alliance had an edge in the results by crushing the YSRCP. The alliance won 164 seats which is the biggest public mandate so far.
Weeks after the results an interesting report has come out with the details of the voting turnout. While some leaders got the highest votes some others got the least vote percent. A few candidates won elections with a small margin. Let us have a look at the details.
The Janasena party which had hit it out of the park had another thing to cheer about as its candidate attracted the highest vote percent. Ch. Vamsi Krishna Srinivas who contested from the Visakhapatnam South Assembly constituency had the highest vote turnout with as much as 70.24 percent. This is the highest in the state.
The next highest spots were occupied by the TDP leaders. Palakollu MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu is at second place with 69.30 percent followed by Nellore City MLA Narayana with 68.99 percent and Palla Srinivasa Rao with 67.30 percent. The alliance dominated the lists as cadres of three parties worked together.
On the other hand, a few Women MLAs had the highest percentage and all of them were from the grand old Telugu Desam Party. Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi who contested from the Vizianagaram seat got 64.21 percent while Galla Madhavi(61.58 percent), Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy(60.68 percent) and Gouthu Sireesha(60.44 percent) are in the next places. Among women candidates, they have the highest vote percentages.
On the other hand, TDP leaders M.S Raju and Ashok Reddy won with the least majority. The MLAs won the elections with 0.19 and 0.47 percent respectively. Interestingly, TDP has candidates who got the highest and least majority.
If we look at the voting percentage of the parties, the TDP is in first place with 45.60 percent, while YCP managed to get 39.37 percent. Janasena which is dubbed as the game changer got 6.87 percent. BJP also increased its vote percentage by around 3 percent with 2.83 percent.
