AP Govt Appointed Firebrand IPS As Intelligence Chief!

The current Andhra Pradesh government led by TDP is leaving a strong mark. The government called for a massive bureaucratic reshuffle after the change in power. A few officials were transferred while others were asked to report to the GAD. The crucial posts are vacant raising interest on who would be the replacement.

The intelligence wing is a crucial wing for the state. There has been a big buzz around the post and the 1998 batch IPS officer might get the big post. Making the reports true he is said to have been appointed as the intelligence chief as per the mainstream media.

As per the information, Mahesh Chandra Ladda is the new AP Intelligence Chief. He earlier served as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) IG who got a big promotion.

He was in the Central services and was brought back to the state cadre. Chandrababu Naidu has been picking officers for big posts. Seeing him as the good pick the government had written to the Centre asking him to be sent here. He was sent to the state cadre creating a space for his appointment.

Mahesh Chandra Ladda has a good association with Andhra Pradesh and he held various posts. The IPS officer was successful in dealing with the Naxal movement. He also dealt with Rowdyism strongly.

The IPS officer earlier worked as the Vizag ASP and served as the SP of a few districts. His stint as Prakasam district SP was very tough for the Maoists. In the combined state the Maois influence was high and created havoc. He dealt with them with an iron first. They faced the heat of his work and planned an attack. Fortunately, he escaped unhurt in the attack.

He served as Vijayawada Deputy Commissioner and Vizag Commissioner. After 2019 he went to the central services who was brought back. Considering his track record he is expected to leave a mark as the Intelligence chief.
