Movie Ticket Fares Row: High Court Made Crucial Comments!
The movie ticket prices issue is a sensitive matter. There are two arguments for this
The movie ticket prices issue is a sensitive matter. There are two arguments for this. While one argument supports this the other argument opposes this. In particular to Andhra Pradesh, the issue is very sensitive. Two governments had a different approach to the problem.
We have seen what happened in the last government. The ticket rates were reduced by the YCP government and the issue went to the court as well. The Government said that the prices were reduced so that common people can also afford this.
All of this is in the discussion as a petition was filed in the High Court questioning the ticket price hike. It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government allowed Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD for the hike. However, a petitioner moved the Court to challenge this.
Hearing the petition the High Court made key comments. The bench led by Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur heard the petition and said that it would determine whether the state government possesses the power to increase the ticket rates or not.
The state government and other defendants were directed to file a counter in this matter. The petition was attached to a petition that was filed earlier in the movie ticket prices row.
While the last government imposed a few restrictions on movie ticket prices, the current government is lending a helping hand to the industry and allowing the hikes. Kalki is the first movie after the government changed and permission was given. Surprisingly, this was challenged in the High Court.
