The Telugu population has the rich tradition of being some of the smartest workers globally. The same can be understood if we look at the fact that there are several Telugu employees in global giants like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Tesla, and others.

However, going by the latest reports pertaining to the Telugu workforce at Apple, it appears that they are at fault. As per the latest reports from the tech media, Apple has fired as many as 185 Telugu people from their operational facility in the Bay Area.

This termination came shortly after news broke out that the mentioned number of Telugu people are involved in a financial donation scam.

This termination drive is in the context of Apple’s newly enforced Matching Grants program. As a part of this new program, Apple announced that they will be matching the donation made by its employees towards philanthropic projects.

As it turned out, the Telugu population working at Apple made a mockery of this programme and were found to be guilty of improper practises.

Allegedly the mentioned number of Telugu workers at Apple had donated to philanthropic projects related to Telugu states. As per the programme, Apple matched the donation, Drive and contributed as much money towards the same.

In the end, the philanthropic project turned out to be a scam model as the money that was paid by the Telugu workers followed by the matching by the Apple company all ended up back in the pockets of the employees. After finding out this scam, Apple fired the mentioned employees effective immediately.

This puts a serious black mark on the reputation of the Telugu workforce globally, as such incidents will not go well in the tech world.
