Apple Shocks iPhone Buyers With Massive Price Hikes in India

Apple has increased the prices of several iPhone models in India. The price changes have come at the same time as the launch of the new iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. Some models have become costlier by thousands of rupees.
The iPhone 17 now starts at ₹99,900 for the 256GB version. Earlier, it was available for ₹82,900. The 512GB model is now priced at ₹1,24,900, compared with ₹1,02,900 earlier.
The iPhone Air has received one of the biggest price increases. Its 256GB model now costs ₹1,49,900, while the 512GB version is priced at ₹1,74,900. The 1TB model costs ₹2,24,900. This is ₹65,000 more than its earlier price of ₹1,59,900.
The iPhone 17e has also become more expensive. Its 256GB version now costs ₹79,900, while the 512GB model is priced at ₹1,04,900.

Another major launch is the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable smartphone. Its starting price in India is ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB version. The top 2TB model costs ₹4,49,900.
The new iPhone 17 comes with a 6.3-inch display and a 120Hz refresh rate. It uses the A19 chip and has upgraded cameras. Apple also says it can provide up to 30 hours of video playback.
The iPhone Air has a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the A19 Pro chip and has a 48MP rear camera and an 18MP front camera.
With these changes, buying a new iPhone in India will now cost significantly more, especially for buyers choosing higher storage options.
