Another Wicket Falls: BRS Lost 9th MLA To Congress!

The two-time winner BRS lost the elections and slipped to opposition in Telangana. Rubbing salt to the wounds the party is facing the aftereffects. The party could not win at least one MP seat. As if that is not enough, one after the other it is losing the leaders. The efforts to stop them are not seeing any positive results.
Yet again the BRS suffered a big shock as another MLA joined the Congress. For the past few days, it has been reported that Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi might take the Congress route. Making the reports true Gandhi wore the Congress shawl.
The MLA joined the ruling Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The CM formally welcomed him into the grand old party. Along with the MLA, a few Corporators also joined the Congress which is a two-sided blow.
Gandhi becomes the ninth BRS MLA to join the Congress after the election results. Earlier Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, M. Sanjay Kumar, Kale Yadaiah, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Danam Nagender, Kadiam Srihari, Tellam Venkat Rao, and T. Prakash Goud joined the Congress and Gandhi is the ninth MLA.
It has to be mentioned here that Danam Nagender who was a Minister in BRS made sensational claims. He said that more MLAs would join the Congress and only a few would be left in the BRS. After he made these comments an MLA joined Congress and reports say that a few more might take the route.
Another significance is that BRS was strong in the Great Hyderabad region as it won the majority of the seats in the region. With MLAs in the region joining Congress, the party is getting stronger there.
