Are These Janasena Candidates For Elections?

Janasena headed by Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan was floated long back. However, the party is yet to show its impact in any elections. The last time the party had managed to show some impact was in 2014 when the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance faced the elections together.

It entered the 2019 elections in Andhra Pradesh with a lot of expectations. But it could not meet the expectations as it won only a single seat. Even Pawan Kalyan lost the two seats he contested. Despite contesting eight seats, Janasena could not show any mark in the recent Telangana.

As the Telangana elections are concluded, Janasena shifted its focus to Andhra Pradesh. The state will go to general elections in a few months and the party is said to have found a few candidates to contest the elections.

If we have to take anything from the political gossip, a few names are doing rounds who are likely to be the contestants from the Janasena party. The leadership is said to have found candidates for 21 constituencies.

Unlike the 2019 elections, Janasena is going to elections with TDP as the alliance was formed. So the party would get a few seats in alliance and the leadership would pick names in the list seats. The list is said to be the first list and we might hear a few names in the coming days. Pawan who earlier contested Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram has stuck to Bhimavaram alone as per the list.

Earlier we heard that Pawan might contest from Tirupati as well. We might get clarity on this soon. Let us wait and see.
