The Bharatiya Janata Party came to power at the Centre in the 2014 Lok Sabha and there is no looking back from there. The saffron party expanded its wings in many places that no one would have expected. BJP is strong in the Northeastern region as well. Given the ideology of the party, it is a big wonder.

The BJP might be very strong now. But many say that there is no comparison between the current BJP and the party led by veteran BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The party did not indulge in any issues and things the party is now doing. A few strong supporters of the BJP also accept this.

BJP is expanding its reach in many nations by toppling the governments there and we have seen this many times. Maharashtra is a recent example of this. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government was toppled and Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister.

On the other hand, the Northeastern state of Manipur has been burning for a few months now and there is a strong criticism that the ruling party failed to take the measures.

Now people are drawing a comparison between Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi. The comparisons are also coming out on how the two handled the situation.

Back then, a no-confidence motion was moved when Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, he gracefully dealt with that and felt it as a big humiliation. But the same is not the case with Narendra Modi and people are saying the same.
