This Five-Time Minister To Be Andhra Pradesh Speaker?

The government led by TDP is in power in Andhra Pradesh which took charge recently. The Cabinet was also formed and the Ministers were given portfolios. The first Assembly sessions after the power shift in the state are expected to happen soon. With this, the focus went on to the debate on who is the Speaker.

A few names including former MPs were in the race. However, it looks like the TDP government fixed the name and it might be Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu. Reports are abuzz on this and we might hear a piece of official news on this.

Speaker post is not a small position as the Speaker should oversee the functioning of the house. Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu has been in politics for a very long time. He served as the Minister five times.

So TDP is said to have fixed his name for this. On the other hand, Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu reportedly shared the same with his close aides. With this, a big discussion is going on about whether he would take up the big post.

Another big reason behind the five-time Minister possibly taking over the Speaker post is that he would not contest the next elections. Ahead of the elections, he said that this was his last election and he would contest the next.

So the TDP reportedly wants to give him a big send-off and appoint him as the Speaker. With his experience and seniority he can give his best in the role is what TDP thinks. Let us wait for the official word to come out.
