The Pakistan Cricket Board faced severe criticism. Following this it was reported that the board might take a crucial decision and the skipper will be removed as part of that. Amid this Babar Azam decided to step down as the captain. However, there is no clarity on whether he stepped down taking the blame for the team's poor performance or whether his resignation was part of the measures.
