Bangladesh Cricket team skipper Shakib Al Hasan is regarded as one of the best all-rounders in the world cricket. As a star all-rounder, he made valuable contributions to the team in many memorable wins. Very rarely do we see bowling all-rounders maintaining consistency.

Despite such a legacy, the skipper was in the news for an unwanted reason with the 'timed out controversy'. Bangladesh had appealed for an out against Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews. When he could not face the first delivery within two minutes after Sadeera Samarawickrama lost his wicket, Bangladesh appealed for an out and he was given out.

A big controversy is going on about this and even the Cricketing world is divided on this. While a few former players are saying that what happened was within the rules, few others say that the Bangladesh team should have not done it.

Amid this, the Bangladesh team suffered a big shock as Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. This was confirmed by the ICC in a post. This says that the team will face Australia in its last league match of the tournament.

"JUST IN: Bangladesh will be without skipper Shakib Al Hasan when they take on Australia in their final #CWC23 match!," ICC said in the post.

Bangladesh is still in the race for the semis spot. In a do-or-die match, Bangladesh crushed Sri Lanka and kept its hopes alive. In the next match, Bangladesh will face Australia. It would be a tough task for the Bangla tigers to face the mighty Australia in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan.
