Telangana MLC Elections: Big Shock For Addanki Dayakar!
Recently, the High Court said no to separate elections and said that separate elections cannot happen.
Telangana is gearing up for the MLC elections which are slated to commence this month's end. Two seats fell vacant with the sitting MLCs resigning after winning the recent MLA elections in the state. Recently, the High Court said no to separate elections and said that separate elections cannot happen.
Recently it was reported that the Congress party might field Addanki Dayakar and Balmoor Venkat as the candidates for the MLC elections under the MLA quota. A few media houses claimed the same.
But the issue took a big turn with Addanki Dayakar missing the spot. The AICC released the candidates list for the By-polls of MLC. Dayakar name was missing as Kumar Goud Bomma was given a chance.
What had happened can be seen as a big shock. Addanki Dayakar is a senior Congress leader and it was reported that he would be given the ticket. However, the Congress party gave him a big shock. At the last moment, he was given a miss.
The last date for the nomination is tomorrow and the two candidates will file the papers tomorrow. In just one day things have changed upside down for Addanki Dayakar. The other day it was reported that Addanki Dayakar would be given a ticket for the MLC polls.
However, the reports were proved wrong with the AICC announcing Kumar Goud Bomma as the candidate. Addanki Dayakar faced a big shock as he was not given a ticket. While the reason behind this is not known, many doubt if the equations played a role in this.
