All the well, it was a famous operation to enter the exclusive UPI pin to complete a transaction on platforms like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm. However, that is not going to be the case anymore in India as a new regulation has been enforced from today, October 8.
According to the latest development, it is being established that a UPI transaction can be happily completed even without entering the pin that is dedicated for the user.
According to the latest derivative issued by the concerned authorities, it is being primarily established that UPI transactions from now on do not require any pin to be entered. The phone will use the biometric information by default.
This would essentially mean that a UPA transaction can be completed even without a pin while the phone uses the face recognition or fingerprint scanning mechanism.
Once your face has been scanned or your fingerprint has been approved on your phone, the UPI transaction will be completed and there is no need to manually enter the pin that was used all along.
This is intended to make the UPI transaction process, seamless and less time consuming. But nevertheless, it must be a significant change to bring this into operation in the Indian community that is largely reliance and secure features for transacting.
