BJP Considering These Leaders As Candidates In AP?
Despite this, the candidates were not announced. Now it is said that the first list is prepared and the candidates are almost finalized.
Putting an end to the suspense, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) became part of the alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janasena. The big clarity came on this ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and Andhra Pradesh general elections. The seat-sharing was also finalised.
Despite this, the candidates were not announced. Now it is said that the first list is prepared and the candidates are almost finalized. Key leaders from BJP and TDP including Chandrababu are said to have met for a crucial meeting to finalise the candidates.
Reports say that the BJP leadership is considering a few candidates for the upcoming elections for Assembly and Lok Sabha segments.
Lok Sabha Segments:
Rajamahendravaram- Daggubati Purandeswari
Tirupati- Muni Subramanyam
Narasapuram-Raghu Rama Krishna Raju
Araku-Kothapalli Geetha(Former MP)
Assembly Segments:
Visakhapatnam North- Vishnu Kumar Raju
Jammalamadugu- Former Minister Adinarayana Reddy
Sai Lokesh-Madanapalle or Rajampet

It is said that the candidates are being considered by the leadership. Once everything goes well the party might announce the candidates officially.
It looks like the list is a mixed bag of seniors, big leaders, and others. Daggubati Purandeswari is the state chief and she cannot be ignored. Earlier she served as the Vizag MP and contested the same seat in 2019. However, the party might be thinking of moving her to another seat.
MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju who resigned from the YSRCP already announced that he will be the candidate of the alliance and this might happen.
BJP is very strong in the country but not in AP. It has a very low vote percentage and considering this, the party should finalise the candidates. Now it is said that the leadership is considering them. The final list might consist of their names or new names might also join. Let us wait for the list.
