BJP Considering This Former TDP Leader For Vijayawada West?

The Janasena party led by Pawan Kalyan did everything it could to keep the alliance going. First, the party restricted itself to fewer seats compared to the estimates. On top of this, Janasena sacrificed a few seats to the Bharatiya Janata Party. The seats that were initially allocated to Janasena were transferred to BJP.

Vijayawada West is one of the seats Janasena sacrificed. Earlier it was reported that Pothina Venkata Mahesh might get a ticket from the seat as he was active there. But BJP came into the picture in what was a sudden twist. The Janasena leaders might give a jolt to Janasena by contesting as a rebel.

Keeping Janasena aside, it is now said that the BJP found a candidate for the Vijayawada west seat. If everything goes well he will be announced as the candidate by the AP wing of BJP formally.

It is known that Yalamanchili Satyanarayana Chowdary aka Sujana Chowdary is with the BJP now. After the 2019 elections, he joined the BJP and has been continuing with the saffron party. Many felt that he might get an MP ticket.

As he was not announced as the MP candidate it is being reported that Sujana Chowdary might be the BJP candidate from the Vijayawada seat. It is said that the BJP is considering his name from the seat.

BJP is not strong in Andhra Pradesh and it has limited leaders. This is the reason why the BJP was given few seats despite being a national party. From the available leaders, it has to field the leaders.

Looking at the positive aspects Sujana Chowdary’s community is very strong in the region and his native place is also very close to the seat. Local candidates will always have an advantage.

Moreover, BJP is adamant about entering the Assembly this time and candidates like Sujana who have good chances are required to the party. As the BJP is reportedly considering his name he might be a candidate. Let us wait for the official word.
