If we take the recent Lok Sabha elections as a test then we have to say that BJP did not pass in it. The BJP did not reach the magic figure on its own. Thanks to the alliance parties' support the BJP managed to form the government at the Centre. This is the second time the BJP formed a coalition government. Earlier BJP formed a coalition government under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The BJP faced the first test after the elections and it failed miserably. The by-elections were held for various seats in a few states and it was restricted to just two seats. The INDIA alliance dominated the results.

While elections were held in 13 seats BJP contested nine seats and managed to win just two seats. Congress and TMC won four seats each while AAP and DMK won one seat each. BJP even lost the seat in Badrinath, the famous Hindu site.

The INDIA alliance dominated the results as it won as many as ten seats. In West Bengal, the ruling TMC dominated the elections and won all four seats. After dominating the general elections, the party won the by-elections too.

This is the first test the BJP faced after the Lok Sabha elections. In the same test, the party failed miserably as it managed to win just two seats. It is a big shock to the ruling party that it could not even pose a big fight.

In states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu where the BJP is that strong the ruling sides dominated the results. It looks like the BJP is yet to become strong in the states as it could not even pose a fight.
