The BJP in Telangana is keeping its cards close to its chest. It is not revealing its plans for the upcoming state elections. Unlike the Bandi Sanjay era, the party is adopting a studious silence on its strategy and plans. It is operating in a sly and cool manner under the leadership of G Kishan Reddy.

If BJP insiders are to be believed, the party is focusing on Nalgonda and Khammam, the two districts with anti-incumbency feeling. These two districts are prominently anti-BRS. The Congress has done consistently well in these two districts. The BJP is said to be targeting two sitting MLAs from the BRS and three former MLAs in these two district. Their joining of the BJP is likely to be announced soon.

Party insiders also revealed that the BJP is also targeting several Congress leaders from these two districts. The party is planning to induct five important leaders every week so that a favourable buzz gets created. It is said to be in touch with several dissident leaders from the Congress Party.

Sources say that the BJP national leadership has directed the party leaders in the state not to make public the names of those who want to join the party. In the past, the BJP state leadership had revealed the names for publicity. This enabled the rivals to take corrective steps and prevent the leaders from leaving the party.
