What Now! TTD Taking Action Against BRS Leader
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam had already issued an ultimatum against the usage of political commentary at the Tirumala shrine.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam had already issued an ultimatum against the usage of political commentary at the Tirumala shrine. This regulation was flouted by BRS leader Srinivas Goud who went to Tirumala yesterday.
After getting the Tirumala Darshan, the BRS leader made a very unconventional comment. He claimed that the current TTD board is not taking good care of the Telangana pilgrims. He claimed that Telangana’s public and politicians are being mistreated in Tirumala, which wasn’t the case in the past.
Incidentally, this video went viral on social media and it immediately drew ire as the BRS leader blatantly spoke politics at the famous Tirumala shrine.
In reaction to this, the TTD board has instigated legal action against the BRS leader and here’s what the communication from the board says now.
The TTD stated that anyone who makes political comments on the hill that disrupts the peace of Tirumala will not be tolerated at any cost. Tirumala is a holy place and not a political platform. We have warned in the past that action will be taken against anyone who uses Tirumala as a political platform.
We discussed this issue as a special agenda in the first meeting of our governing body and decided that we should not back down in protecting the sanctity of Tirumala. No matter how many people make political comments on Tirumala hill, we will not tolerate them, the TTD commented in general.
About the BRS leader in question, the TTD stated they are taking a serious view of the leader from Telangana for making political comments at the Tirumala venue. “We are ordering action against him.” The communication confirms.
