BRS And Congress Ready For Documentary Politics!

All the parties in Telangana are eyeing the sentiment for the elections and are giving their best. The parties are making their moves thinking that irrespective of the forms, the sentiment should favour them. From the ruling BRS to BJP and Congress which are eyeing power every party is following the same path. In this regard, the BRS leaders are thinking about preparing a documentary on what happened 10 years back.

A popular filmmaker from the Telangana film industry is working hard on this. It is said that two copies have been readied already. Once CM KCR picks one of them, then it will be released on social media. Reports say that the documentary would have aspects like KCR’s hunger strike, pacifying the students, the comments made by Congress leaders on the Telangana movement, the resignation made by KCR, and others.

The documentary is expected to be KCR-centric. The party wants to take it to the public and ignite the sentiment in them. Talking about Congress, it is said that the party is gearing up to come up with a counter-documentary. KCR will be projected negatively and Sonia Gandhi will be highlighted. The party might focus on the aspect that Telangana would not be possible without Congress.

Congress party might highlight issues like KCR’s promise to make an SC candidate the CM if Telangana comes, his comments, and the debate on water, funds, and jobs in the documentary. At the same time, the suicides of farmers and students in the last ten years, the government’s apathy, change in KCR’s stand on the Centre, and others might also be stressed. Congress is busy making the documentary as the election weapon and making it into a few parts and taking it to the people. We have to wait and see how far the documentary politics will work.
